Paula Schirman


Paula is a graduate of Tarleton State University and The University of Dallas.  Her credentials include Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Diplomat to the American Psychotherapy Association.

She is Board Certified by the American Psychotherapy Association as both a Relationship Specialist and as a Professional Counselor. She is also a Certified Hypnotherapist and is a member of the American Hypnotherapy Association and the National Guild of Hypnotherapists.

Additionally she is a member of the Texas Counseling Association, the American Counseling Association and is listed in the Cambridge Who’s Who of Professional Women.

Paula is also a presenter, writer, and well known public speaker in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. She frequently works with physicians, judges, lawyers and others in the medical field and law enforcement agencies to solve family problems and restore civility and peace in family and crisis situations.

Paula is a Certified Forensic Consultant, certified by the American College of Forensic Examiners International. She is well established as a forensic expert in the family court system and frequently performs psychological testing and evaluations for family court judges.

Paula Schirman enjoys working with various demographics. Her clientele includes individuals of all ages: children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

She believes that each family is a system and by changing one piece of the system you can change the whole system. Additionally she specializes in marriage and relationship counseling. She also works with victims of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse as well as family members.

Paula is a cognitive behavioral psychotherapist and works on the principle that if you change your thinking, you will find the answers and you can change your life.

She is married to Tom Schirman and they have five grown children and eleven grandchildren. Paula and Tom make their home in Granbury, Texas.

Dana Griffith, MS, LPC

     Dana has a heart for families and young people. As a young adult, she began working in church ministry across the country. Prior to obtaining her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at Tarleton State University, she completed her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Biblical studies.  She has continued working with families in churches, schools, non-profit organizations, groups and in the private practice setting.

Her own life experience has led her to take a special interest in family systems.Families today come in all shapes and sizes. Her goal is to help families that are struggling; this includes those affected by divorce, addiction, abuse, grief, incarceration, separation, and illness. In the midst of struggle, she strives to help each individual gain confidence in their own unique strengths as they continue their journey toward joy.
